This Volunteer Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between My Density Matters (“the Organization”) and the undersigned volunteer (“Volunteer”). The Volunteer desires to provide services to the Organization and engage in activities related to serving as a volunteer at events and performing other duties as agreed upon by the Organization and the Volunteer.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Status and Relationship<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • The Volunteer agrees to volunteer services to My Density Matters and understands that this is a volunteer position. The Volunteer acknowledges that they are not entitled to and will not receive any compensation, salary, benefits, or other forms of payment for their services.<\/li>\n
  • The Volunteer agrees to volunteer without contemplation of future employment with the Organization.<\/li>\n
  • The Volunteer acknowledges that they are not covered by any state or federal wage and hour laws, nor are they eligible for workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance benefits, or any other type of employment benefit offered to employees.<\/li>\n
  • This Agreement is at-will, and the Organization reserves the right to terminate the Volunteer\u2019s status at any time without notice or cause.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Compliance with Policies<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Volunteer agrees to comply at all times with all rules, policies, and standards of conduct that apply to My Density Matters, including but not limited to the Organization\u2019s Codes of Conduct and Ethics.<\/p>\n

    Confidentiality<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • As a volunteer, the Volunteer understands that they may have access to certain confidential, health, financial, proprietary, research, operational information, and\/or trade secrets of the Organization and its team members.<\/li>\n
    • The Volunteer acknowledges that My Density Matters has a legal and ethical obligation to protect this Confidential Information. This obligation applies equally to the Volunteer.<\/li>\n
    • All Confidential Information must be treated as confidential. The Volunteer understands that they have no right or ownership interest in any confidential information\/data.<\/li>\n
    • The Volunteer agrees to use confidential information\/data only as necessary to perform their duties as a volunteer. The Volunteer will not misuse, divulge, copy, release, sell, loan, review, alter, or destroy any confidential information\/data.<\/li>\n
    • My Density Matters reserves the right to monitor access to networks, emails, and shared files. The Volunteer\u2019s access privileges to confidential information\/data are subject to periodic review, revision, and, if necessary, modification and\/or termination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Ownership of Work Product<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The Volunteer acknowledges that all work products, materials, and intellectual property created or developed in the course of their volunteer services for My Density Matters belong solely to the Organization. The Volunteer agrees not to take, use, or disclose such work products, materials, or intellectual property for any purpose outside of their volunteer duties with the Organization.<\/p>\n

      Release of Liability<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • The Volunteer understands and agrees that the Organization, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or connected to the Volunteer\u2019s participation in any activities related to volunteering for My Density Matters.<\/li>\n
      • The Volunteer expressly agrees to indemnify and hold the Organization harmless against any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions, or causes of action, including attorney fees and court costs, arising out of or connected to the Volunteer\u2019s participation in any activities related to volunteering for My Density Matters.<\/li>\n
      • The Volunteer assumes full responsibility for any and all risk of personal injury or property damage that may be sustained while providing volunteer services to the Organization, whether such risk is known or unknown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Acceptance<\/strong><\/p>\n

        By accepting these terms, the Volunteer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this Volunteer Agreement.<\/strong><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
