My Density Matters is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and empowering environment for all individuals involved in our mission to empower women to find out their breast density, learn their additional breast cancer screening options, and take charge of their breast cancer screening. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards that guide our behavior and interactions within the organization and with the public.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all employees, volunteers, board members, contractors, partners, and any other individuals representing My Density Matters.

Core Principles

#1 – Respect and Dignity

  • Treat everyone with respect, fairness, and dignity.
  • Embrace diversity and avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
  • Foster an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

#2 – Integrity and Honesty

  • Act with integrity and honesty in all professional interactions and duties.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts promptly.
  • Maintain transparency in all communications and operations.

#3 – Confidentiality

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of personal and sensitive information.
  • Ensure that information is shared only with authorized individuals and used appropriately.
  • Follow all relevant data protection and privacy laws.

#4 – Professionalism

  • Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, preparedness, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Uphold the organization’s reputation by acting responsibly both within and outside of the workplace.
  • Continuously seek to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the organization’s mission.

#5 – Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and the community to achieve shared goals.
  • Communicate openly, effectively, and respectfully.
  • Recognize and value the contributions of others.

#6 – Safety and Well-being

  • Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals associated with the organization.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for staff, volunteers, and those we serve.
  • Report any concerns regarding safety or well-being immediately to the appropriate authority.

#7 – Accountability

  • Accept responsibility for personal actions and decisions.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report any unethical behavior, misconduct, or violations of this Code of Conduct.

Reporting and Enforcement

  • Reporting: Any concerns or violations of this Code of Conduct should be reported to the CEO of My Density Matters immediately. Reports can be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
  • Investigation: All reports of misconduct will be taken seriously and investigated promptly and impartially.
  • Consequences: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, contract, or volunteer service.

Acknowledgment

All employees, volunteers, board members, contractors, and partners are required to read, understand, and comply with this Code of Conduct. By participating with My Density Matters, individuals acknowledge their commitment to uphold these standards.
