Pushing Limits: Jeff Jones Runs 640 Miles to Raise Awareness—and Challenges You to Get Uncomfortable Too July 23, 2025

Jeff Jones isn’t just running hundreds of miles this year—he’s running with purpose. After raising nearly $5,000 last year while completing the grueling 240‑mile MOAB ultra-endurance race, Jeff is once again stepping far outside his comfort zone in support of My Density Matters. In fact, this year, he’s turning up the challenge: 640 miles across three of the most extreme races in the country.

It’s called the Triple Crown of 200s: the Tahoe 200 in June, the Bigfoot 200 in August, and the MOAB 240 in October. That’s three races, three states, and 640 rugged, mountainous miles—all to support a cause that hits close to home for Jeff.

“My Density Matters empowers women to understand their breast density and advocates for the additional screenings that could save lives,” Jeff says. “The women in my life—my wife, daughters, nieces, sisters, aunts, colleagues, and friends—deserve access to the vital breast cancer screenings they need.”

But what makes Jeff’s story especially powerful is the mindset behind it. At work and online, he regularly challenges others to “be comfortable being uncomfortable.” This summer, as he pushes his body beyond what most of us can even imagine, he’s living that challenge to the fullest.

And that challenge isn’t just about running—it’s about action. It’s about doing something hard because it matters.

That’s where you come in.

For many women, looking into their breast density, understanding their risk, and asking their doctors for more than a mammogram isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable. But that discomfort is often the first step toward early detection—and early detection can save lives.

So as Jeff puts his body on the line mile after mile, we challenge you to get outside your comfort zone too. Ask the question: What’s my breast density? Log into your health chart to find out. If you’ve been told you have dense breasts, speak up and ask about additional screening options. Advocate for yourself. Share what you learn with others. You don’t need to run 640 miles to make a difference—you just need to take the first, sometimes uncomfortable, step.

Let’s honor Jeff’s incredible commitment by rising to our own challenge. Join him in supporting My Density Matters, and together, let’s ensure that no woman is left behind in the fight against breast cancer.
